Khan Annouces 1100 Billions of Budget Pakage for Karachi
KARACHI: Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced a package
of Rs 1100 billion for the solution of Karachi's problems in collaboration with
the federal and provincial governments. He said that the problems of Karachi
would be solved on a permanent basis. The Karachi committee met on Saturday
under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Ismail, Sindh Chief Minister
Syed Murad Ali Shah and Federal Ministers Asad Umar, Shibli Faraz, Ali Zaidi
and Aminul Haq. Also attended. Briefing Media after the meeting.
The Prime Minister said that the issues of Karachi were discussed in detail in the meeting and it was decided that the issues of Karachi would be resolved on a permanent basis. The federation and the province have jointly formulated a package of Rs. Under which drinking water, sewerage system, solid waste, roads and transport problems will be solved in Karachi. The Prime Minister said that the sewerage system in Karachi would be completely repaired and the circular railway would be restored while efforts would be made to solve the water problem in three years. What is the decision to resolve this issue?
There is interference of various institutions in Karachi so a committee has been set up to monitor the implementation of the decisions in which all the stakeholders will be in one place. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that we have formed a committee to deal with Corona. A committee was also formed to tackle the locust heart challenge. The rains have affected Balochistan and other districts. The Prime Minister said that we felt that the issue of Karachi is important and it is necessary to talk about it. Coordination is required. We have always needed the help of the army to deal with natural calamities that is why the responsibility of cleaning the drains of Karachi has been handed over to the NDMA. Prime Minister Imran Khan said that together we took steps to deal with Corona.
We will also work together to solve Karachi's problems. Drinking water is a big problem for the people of Karachi. Roads are also a problem with transport in Karachi. He said that the Chief Minister also briefed him about the infrastructure of Karachi. Earlier, a meeting of the Karachi Committee was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Imran Khan in which Asad Umar, Shibli Faraz, Ali Zaidi and Aminul Haq also participated. Besides, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah also attended the meeting.
